福岡近郊の新しいまち、アイランドシティのまち開き10周年を記念して作られた、10周年記念ロゴ。アイランドアーバンデザインセンター（UDCIC）と九州大学の協業により実現した。地名でもある照葉をモチーフとしてデザインされ、アイランドシティの主要素である太陽、緑、博多湾などからキーカラーを抽出している。複数案の検討の中で選ばれた、最終4案の中から地元の小中学生のアンケート投票により採用案を選んだ。

10th anniversary logo created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Island City town opening, a new town near by Fukuoka. Realized by collaboration between Urban Design Center Island City (UDCIC) and Kyushu University. Designed with the place name Teriha as a motif, key colors are extracted from the main elements of Island City, such as the sun, greenery, and Hakata Bay. The adopted proposal was selected from among the final 4 proposals selected from multiple proposals by a questionnaire vote of local elementary and junior high school students.
