OLD NEW
横浜市中心部の日本大通りに面した、横浜情報文化センターの1階角にカフェアンドグリルを計画した。
1929年に作られた横浜市の認定歴史建造物であるこの4階建てのビルを保存しながら、2000年に12階建ての部分を増築し、文化センタービルとして新たに生まれ変わった。
建てられた当時のままの古いレンガと装飾的な躯体をそのまま活かしながら、ワイヤー照明やリング照明、家具、ショーケースなどを新しくデザイン・挿入し、新旧の対比による魅力を創出した。
OLD NEW
A cafe and grill was planned on the first floor corner of the Yokohama Information and Culture Center, facing Nihon Odori in the center of Yokohama. While preserving this 4F building, a certified historical building in Yokohama built in 1929, a 12F building was expanded next to it in 2000 to become a new Cultural Center building.While making use of the old bricks and decorative frames that were built at the time, wire lighting, ring lighting, furniture, showcases, etc. were newly designed and inserted to create an attractiveness by comparing old and new.
